Active Weather Continues Overnight and Into Wednesday

Yes, more rain tonight and tomorrow and into Thursday as well.  Current radar shows moderate to heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms ready to affect the Pompano area next hour and the overnight hours.


Though no warnings are currently in effect localized street flooding is occurring and a Flood Advisory is in effect until 130am Wednesday.  Lightning, gusty winds, heavy rain are likely.  A tornado and waterspouts are possible but not very likely at this time.

As of 8pm Pompano Airport has received 4.63 inches of rain in 24 hours.  At my house we have had 4.26 inches between 7am and 7pm this evening.

Stay weather alert, do not drive into or through flooded roadways.  Also when thunder roars, go indoors.
