Sunday – Partly Cloudy with some Showers

Sunday for Pompano will not be rain free like Saturday was.  In fact at this hours a showers with some moderate rain is affecting areas south of Pompano.


As we go into the the afternoon showers will be more widespread with a possible thunderstorm. High today will be 80F.  We could see some cooler weather for the later part of this work week as our highs dip below 80F as indicated on the the latest GEFS.


Hope all of you recover from the “lost” hour of sleep and do keep the umbrella near.  Leaving you with a picture from sunrise in Pompano this morning.

Windy Sunday, Like Saturday

Should be another rain-free day like Saturday with windy conditions.  A great day to be outdoors but not in the surf.  We have a high risk of rip currents at the beaches and marine conditions remain hazardous.  Other than that some clouds and a high of 77F.

Speaking of the beaches here are couple images from Pompano Beach where at the airport last hour winds were from the east at 20mph with gusts to 30mph.

Windy Weekend, Otherwise Very Nice

After our late week rain we are in store for a very nice weekend, although the wind will make boating and beach activities not very attractive.  This morning’s Hazardous Weather Outlook had the following cautions:

HIGH RISK RIP CURRENTS ATLANTIC BEACHES THROUGH THE WEEKEND…

…SLIGHT CHANCE OF WATERSPOUTS FOR THE ATLANTIC WATERS…

…HAZARDOUS MARINE CONDITIONS THROUGH THE rest of the WEEKEND.

Latest surface analysis show some cooler weather in the northern part of the state but we remain mild in the south.


Today we will see some clouds and the ever so slightest chance of a light, quick shower with a high of 75F.  Latest HRRR highs for today


And looking ahead we see no real cool weather with a gradual warming trend the second half of this week coming up and then leveling off as seen in the GEFS run:


Stay out of the water today otherwise no reason not to get out and enjoy!
