1/20/22 – Warmer Today with a Chance of Showers, Friday Possible Strong Storms

We are much warmer this morning compared to yesterday. 7am temperature at Pompano is 71°. Showers chances will increase today as we get a breeze off the ocean which will also increase our dew points/humidity.

Tomorrow we will have another cold front approach the area late in the day which will increase our rain chances. This front will not be as potent and will linger to our south which will keep rain chances through the weekend.

Forecast map for Friday night.

With the front approaching we will see a chance of severe weather with the main threats being strong, gusty winds and possible small hail. Dynamics are different and the chance of a tornado is not elevated. Current timing for the strongest of storms will be between 6pm and 2am.

SPC threat map for Friday.

I will update the timing and severe threat on Friday.
